Travel Nurse RN - Labor and Delivery - $2,468 per week

Job Description TNAA TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN in the Labor and Delivery unit for Bakersfield, California. The position is a 13‑week assignment with 12‑hour night shifts and a total of 42 hours per week. Candidates must have at least 3 years of recent acute‑care experience and be able to stand, walk, and lift patients up to 50 pounds. L‑D Travel Nurses provide comprehensive care to women before, during, and after delivery. Duties include monitoring labor progress, assisting physicians with epidurals, pain medications, episiotomies, and cesarean deliveries, and providing immediate newborn care. Responsibilities Stay with and monitor patients throughout labor. Monitor contractions and teach breathing techniques. Check cervical dilation and track labor progression. Maintain a clean and hygienic bedside environment. Assist physicians with drapes, gloves, gowns, and delivery instruments. Provide immediate care for newborn. Qualifications BLS certification. ACLS certification. FHM certification. NRP certification. Minimum of 2 years clinical experience. Additional certifications may be required before assignment.
