Position Summary Location: Augusta, GA (Onsite, multi-location) Job Type: Full-Time or Part-Time Department: Marketing & E-Commerce We are seeking a proactive, creative, and results-driven Social Media Manager to join our team in Augusta, Georgia, mainly leading the marketing efforts for our brand Escape Outdoors. In this role, you will be the voice and digital heartbeat of Escape Outdoors. You won't just be sitting behind a desk scheduling posts, you will be on the ground capturing content, creating engaging short-form video, ideating email/SMS campaigns, and executing paid ad strategies. Because our core strength lies in our customer-first physical store locations, you will regularly visit and capture content across our store hubs in the local area (including West Lake Commons, Furys Ferry Rd., Surrey Center, Riverwood, Statesboro, and surrounding locations). Key Responsibilities Proactive Content Creation & Publishing: Shoot, edit, write captions, and publish daily organic content (Reels, TikToks, Feed Posts, Stories) across platforms including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and Snapchat. Multi-Location Store Coverage: Regularly travel between store locations across the Augusta area to showcase new product arrivals, cover in-store events, highlight staff favorites, and capture authentic behind-the-scenes moments. Content Banking & Campaign Planning: Plan, capture, and curate content in advance (especially for weekends and peak holiday shopping seasons) to maintain a consistent and high-quality posting schedule. Community Management & Engagement: Monitor comments, direct messages, and brand mentions to actively engage with our online community, answer customer inquiries, and foster strong customer relationships. SMS & Email Campaign Ideation: Brainstorm and pitch creative campaign concepts, copy, and visual ideas for Klaviyo SMS and email marketing, collaborating with the broader marketing team to bring campaigns to setup and publication. Paid Media & Growth Ad Execution: Set up, monitor, and optimize targeted paid ad campaigns using Meta Ads Manager (Facebook/Instagram), Google Ads, and TikTok Business Center to drive web traffic, in-store foot traffic, and online revenue. Event & Sales Activation: Proactively identify seasonal trends, community events, and in-store promotions to launch targeted social campaigns that drive customer acquisition and foot traffic. Performance Tracking & Optimization: Track and analyze key performance metrics (reach, engagement, conversion rates, and ROI) across social, email, and paid media to continuously optimize digital strategy. Qualifications & Requirements Retail & Fashion/Lifestyle Experience: Background in DTC retail, fashion, activewear, or outdoor/lifestyle brands is a strong plus, with a keen eye for visual aesthetics and current fashion/lifestyle trends. Social Media & Content Expertise: Demonstrated success managing brand accounts across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc. High proficiency in mobile video shooting, graphic editing, trend research, and video editing (CapCut, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.). Technical Tools & Platform Knowledge: Hands-on experience or familiarity with Shopify (product tagging and integrations), Klaviyo, Meta Ads Manager, TikTok Business Center, and Google Ads. Communication & Copywriting: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to write engaging, clear, and brand-appropriate copy. Local & Mobile: Must be based in or near Augusta, GA, with reliable transportation to travel regularly between storefront locations. Education & Experience: Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent hands‑on experience in social media management and digital content creation.
