Job Purpose The Renewables Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of renewable energy projects, from financial management and budget creation to construction and close-out. This role involves guiding project teams, ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety standards, and effectively managing subcontractor relationships. By coordinating resources, schedules, and stakeholder communications, the Renewables Project Manager ensures that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction. The role also emphasizes continuous improvement and adherence to company core values, driving efficiency and excellence throughout each project. What You’ll Do Create and manage the project's budget, ensuring alignment with owner's contract requirements. Develop a thorough understanding of owner's contract, encompassing contract requirements, bond fees, schedules, and costs. Generate and complete monthly projected final cost and labor cost reports projections. Procure subcontractors based on predetermined requirements and oversee them through the construction phase. Collaborate with the pre-construction team to prepare, review, and monitor information and reports related to project budget development. Manage subcontractor relationships, including initial scope and proposal review, and develop final proposals based on agreed scope of work. Develop plans to comply with and report Minority Business Entity requirements for the project reporting. Schedule site security/amenities, subcontractors, equipment delivery, utility interconnections, and services according to the predetermined construction schedule. Conduct preconstruction meetings with site host, customer, subcontractors, authority having jurisdiction (AHJ), and utility. Review and implement an OSHA-approved site safety plan (SSP) with subcontractors prior to construction. Conduct, document, and report daily site safety meetings to analyze job hazards. Schedule and oversee inspections by AHJ and utility. Coordinate and deliver all requirements for subcontractors and suppliers to meet project schedules. Provide guidance to project team, including foremen and support staff. Delegate tasks, monitor performance, and provide feedback to ensure efficient project execution. Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment, promoting effective communication and problem-solving. Conduct regular team meetings to discuss project status, address concerns, and provide updates. Perform any other job-related duties or function as assigned by management. Accountable for leading efforts in implementing continuous improvement initiatives and methodologies to improve processes and increase efficiency. Participate in CECI Continuous Improvement events as needed (ex: JDI, RIE & A3's). Maintain SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures) for compliance practices and other associated functions. What You’ll Bring High School Diploma or equivalent Four-year degree in engineering, construction management or construction-related course of study from an accredited school or equivalent combination of education, technical training, and/or related experience in the electrical contractor or comparable industry. Minimum of 5 years Project Management experience in the renewable energy industry Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of project budgeting, cost management, and financial reporting, with the ability to align financial performance with contract requirements and project goals. Leadership: Demonstrates the ability to guide and mentor project teams, delegating tasks effectively, monitoring performance, and fostering a culture of collaboration and inclusion. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey project goals, updates, and feedback clearly to team members, subcontractors, and stakeholders. Problem-Solving: Proactive in identifying potential issues and developing solutions to ensure smooth project execution, particularly in the face of unforeseen challenges. Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines, ensuring timely project mobilization, construction, and close-out while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. Teamwork: Promotes and encourages teamwork, ensuring all team members and subcontractors work cohesively towards project objectives. Adaptability: Flexible in adapting to changes in project scope, schedule, or requirements, while maintaining focus on overall project success. Conflict Resolution: Capable of addressing and resolving conflicts that arise during project execution, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines and goals. Attention to Detail: Meticulous in managing project documentation, safety protocols, and compliance with OSHA standards and other regulations. Customer Focus: Commitment to meeting the needs and expectations of clients, site hosts, and other stakeholders, ensuring satisfaction with project outcomes. Project Financial Management: Proficient in creating and managing project budgets, understanding contract requirements, and generating accurate cost projections and reports. Construction Management: Extensive knowledge of the construction process, including scheduling, subcontractor management, equipment delivery, and utility interconnections, to ensure project completion on time and within budget. Regulatory Compliance: In-depth understanding of OSHA safety regulations, Minority Business Entity requirements, and other regulatory standards applicable to renewable energy projects. Contract Management: Skilled in managing subcontractor relationships, reviewing scopes and proposals, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and project requirements. Safety Management: Expertise in developing and implementing site safety plans, conducting safety meetings, and overseeing inspections to maintain a safe work environment. Project Scheduling: Ability to develop and maintain detailed construction schedules, coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers to meet project milestones. Stakeholder Management: Effective in collaborating with site hosts, customers, subcontractors, authorities having jurisdiction (AHJ), and utilities to ensure project success and compliance with requirements. Continuous Improvement: Knowledgeable in continuous improvement methodologies, such as Lean and Six Sigma, with the ability to lead initiatives that enhance project efficiency and outcomes. Software Proficiency: Proficient in project management software, financial analysis tools, and other relevant technologies to manage project budgets, schedules, and documentation. Environmental Awareness: Understanding of environmental regulations and sustainability practices related to renewable energy projects, ensuring compliance and minimizing environmental impact.
