For more information and resources, please visit our Student Employment Resources.## WHO WOULD I REPORT TO?Admissions Student Workers (Kayla Laplante)## WHAT DEPARTMENT IS THIS IN?5450 Lewis & Clark Work Study, Admissions## WHEN DOES THIS POSITION BEGIN (AND END, IF APPLICABLE?2026-10-06-## **JOB PURPOSE:**The Admissions team is looking for reliable and enthusiastic student workers to give campus tours, participate in student panels, host lunches, and share their experience with prospective students. These ambassadors are an integral part of the Admissions Visit Program. For many visitors their ambassador is one of few campus community members that they will have one-on-one contact with. Campus tours provide a valuable \"inside look\" at the college from a current student perspective.You'll gain valuable skills and work experience from this job, including:* Communication: Communicate in a clear and organized manner so that others can effectively understand.* Leadership: Serve as a role model to others by approaching tasks with confidence and a positive attitude.* Professionalism: Be present and prepared. Demonstrate dependability.* Teamwork: Exercise the ability to compromise and be agile.## **PREREQUISITES FOR ELIGIBILITY:*** Resume, uploaded* Cover letter, uploaded## **DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:*** Provide one hour tours to prospective students and their families during designated times* Host lunch with admitted students and their guests* Participate in student panel discussions during Admitted Student Programs* One on one meetings with prospective students to provide an individualized campus experience* Participate in special admissions events programming throughout the academic year* Occasional office work as available## **RESPONSIBILITY TOWARDS DIVERSITY:*** Ability to honor and work with all identities and individuals, particularly those who are underrepresented in the country and/or at Lewis & Clark College.## **SCHEDULE:**Must have availability during at least two tour times within the week:* M-F 9:10-10:10, and 3:00-4:00* Occasional Saturdays and some additional evening hours as needed## **RATE OF PAY:*** $16.80-$17.30 per hour**WORK STUDY REQUIREMENT:*** Work study highly preferred**Career Competencies gained through the role include:*** **Equity & Inclusion**: Recognize and respect diverse identities and foster inclusive environments.* **Communication**: Clearly and effectively exchange information with others through written, verbal, and non-verbal methods.* **Professionalism**: Demonstrate responsibility, dependability, and ethical behavior in the workplace.Lewis & Clark College adheres to a nondiscriminatory policy with respect to educational programs, activities, employment, and admission.
