Position will be full time and based out of NYC. Position is starting between $65-75K, based on experience


Duties and Responsibilities:

1. The Alumni & Family Coordinator will actively support patients while in treatment through alumni lectures and engagement; manage support groups and fellowship programs; organize new support groups and programs where strategically appropriate.
2. Actively engage alumni, families and friends through participation in support groups, fellowship programs, activities and events.
3. The Alumni & Family Coordinator will engage alumni, families and friends through various communication channels including phone calls, visits, email, web and social media with a focus on high-net worth prospects.
4. Plan, coordinate, and promote events, workshops, programs and activities with the help of Caron staff and volunteers.
5. Recruit volunteers to assist in recovery support for newly discharged patients.
6. Identify individuals with the capacity to advance Caron’s mission through their affluence and/or volunteer potential.
7. The Alumni & Family Coordinator to initiate and direct any other special projects that contribute to positive and productive alumni and family relations.
8. Assist and support the Development team with planning and producing regional fundraising events.

1. Ability to work flexible and/or extended hours
2. Ability to travel within region and to Caron PA
3. Light lifting and bending (10-20 lbs.)
4. Ability to ambulate around PA campus and within region for meetings as needed.
5. This position allows for hybrid work and therefore requires appropriate home office space that allows for confidentiality and privacy with computer access and high-speed internet capability.

Education and Experience Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s Degree or 2 years of experience in the recovery field, alumni, or public relations required.
2. Experience in event planning and logistics preferred
3. Computer proficiency in MS Office and social media platforms required
4. If in recovery, 2 years continuous sobriety preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

1. The Alumni & Family Coordinator must possess the ability to interact with a variety of people from a wide range of ages, experiences and interests.
2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
3. Ability to deliver presentations and manage groups.
4. Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple assignments/tasks.
5. Strong organizational skills, initiative, vision and creativity.
6. Excellent computer skills.
7. Knowledge of recovery or 12-step based programs preferred.
