Phlebotomist Part Time

Job Description Three Trails Behavioral Hospital in Independence, MO is seeking a dependable and detail‑oriented Part‑Time Phlebotomist to join our clinical team. This role is responsible for obtaining high‑quality blood specimens while ensuring patient comfort and safety in a behavioral health setting. Responsibilities Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws accurately and efficiently Verify patient identity and ensure proper labeling of specimens Maintain strict adherence to infection control, safety, and HIPAA guidelines Prepare and transport specimens to the appropriate laboratory Monitor patients during and after collection to ensure comfort and safety Maintain and stock phlebotomy supplies and equipment Accurately document procedures in the electronic health record (EHR) Collaborate with nursing and medical staff to support patient care Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Completion of a phlebotomy training program required Phlebotomy certification (CPT, PBT, or equivalent) preferred Minimum of 1‑2 years of phlebotomy experience preferred Experience in a healthcare or behavioral health setting is a plus Strong attention to detail and patient care skills Ability to remain calm and professional in sensitive situations #J-18808-Ljbffr
