Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab/EP

Job Summary:

Seeking a highly skilled Cath Lab RN for an acute care hospital, specializing in cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures. The role requires managing complex cardiovascular cases within a dynamic environment, providing critical patient care during invasive procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Administer pre-procedure assessments and prepare patients for cardiac catheterization and EP procedures.
• Monitor patient vitals and manage sedation levels during invasive interventions.
• Collaborate with cardiology and electrophysiology teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Document procedures accurately using Epic and adhere to hospital protocols.
• Respond to emergency situations swiftly, including during hurricane season or other emergencies.
• Maintain compliance with radiation safety standards and certifications.

Qualifications:

• Hold at least 2 years of RN experience, with specific EP/Cath lab experience preferred.
• Possess a valid South Carolina or Compact RN license prior to start.
• Certified in BLS and ACLS.
• Demonstrate proficiency with radiation badge procedures.
• Able to work 4x10-hour day shifts and fulfill on-call and weekend requirements.
• Maintain compliance with travel and local staffing policies, including RTO and licensing regulations.
