Senior Project Manager – RTB Enablement Location: Westwood, MA only. 4 days in the office from any of our locations in Johnston RI and Westwood MA only. Role is not relocation eligible. About the Role As part of our Reimagine the Bank (RTB) transformation, the organization has publicly committed to delivering over $400M in savings and growth by 2028 across 40+ enterprise initiatives. This role directly supports the execution of those commitments within the Mortgage business, ensuring initiatives translate from strategy into measurable business impact. We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to support RTB transformation initiatives within Citizens Home Mortgage. This role is responsible for translating strategic priorities into high-quality delivery plans and measurable business outcomes. This position goes beyond traditional project management—it requires strong execution discipline, financial rigor, and the ability to connect delivery efforts directly to business value. The ideal candidate thrives in complex environments and excels at leading through influence across cross‑functional teams, ensuring Home Mortgage initiatives deliver against the broader enterprise RTB commitments. Key Responsibilities Translate Strategy into Execution Convert strategic objectives into clear, actionable plans with defined milestones, deliverables, and success metrics Establish alignment on scope, roles, and accountability across stakeholders Support a portfolio of RTB transformation initiatives, flexing across multiple roles based on the needs of up to seven concurrent initiatives over 2-3 years—ranging from leading end‑to‑end execution of smaller initiatives to supporting initiative owners on larger, more complex efforts Lead end‑to‑end execution initiative project planning, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and to defined quality expectations Maintain support for delivery outcomes, ensuring alignment to timelines, scope, and quality standards Maintain rigorous control over plans, risks to delivery, issues, and dependencies Drive timely resolution of issues and escalate appropriately Drive Delivery Excellence Support delivery of initiative owner workstreams with a strong understanding of interactions across cost, staffing, timelines, and business outcomes Identify and mitigate risks across teams to ensure smooth, coordinated delivery Align stakeholders forums with actionable insights and decision points Support Change & Adoption Partner with business leaders to reinforce new processes and ways of working Identify and mitigate adoption risks to ensure sustained outcomes Collaboration & Influence Engage stakeholders across Operations, Technology, Finance, and Business teams Maintain alignment on objectives, timelines, and accountability Build trust and drive accountability across matrixed teams Ensure Governance & Standards Create and support project documentation, reporting, and compliance with governance standards Apply consistent project management practices across initiatives Qualifications Leadership Strong stakeholder management across executives, operations, technology, vendors, and frontline teams Ability to influence without authority and drive accountability across matrixed organizations Proven ability to navigate conflict and competing priorities with credibility and composure Skilled in facilitating decisions in ambiguous or evolving environments Experience coaching and mentoring others Maintain clear, concise communication under pressure Delivery & Operational Expertise Experience establishing and managing program governance (e.g., steering committees, escalation paths, reporting cadences) Partner with risk management to identify and mitigate risks, including systemic risk Strong dependency management across multiple teams and workstreams Experience managing complex, multi‑phase delivery efforts Resource planning experience, aligning capacity with delivery demand Experience partnering with vendors and offshore teams to clarify business requirements, inform project planning, and align on delivery approach, including awareness of performance expectations and service levels Working knowledge of hybrid delivery project management delivery approaches, combining predictive (waterfall) and Agile methods to support effective execution based on the needs of the initiative Communication & Execution Ability to translate complex information into clear, actionable narratives Strong executive communication, including concise status reporting and escalation Experience leading workshops and cross‑functional alignment sessionsAbility to convert ambiguous business goals into structured, executable plans Transformation & Modern Capabilities Experience supporting large‑scale transformation initiatives Exposure to process optimization and operating model changes Ability to bridge business and technology teams effectively Strong data literacy and comfort working Pay Transparency The salary range for this position is $123,000 - $157,000 per year, plus an opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus. Actual pay is based on various factors including but not limited to the budget, work location, and relevant skills and experience.
