Job Title: Travel Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery (L&D)
Location: Allen, Texas
Duration: 8 Weeks
Positions: 1
Shift: Nights – 12 Hours (6:30 PM Start)
Employment Type: Travel Contract

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Labor & Delivery (L&D) to join a dynamic healthcare team in Allen, TX. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical expertise in labor and delivery, with the flexibility to support mother-baby care when needed.

Key Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients during labor, delivery, and postpartum stages.
Monitor maternal and fetal health, administer medications, and assist in childbirth procedures.
Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care.
Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, recovery, and newborn care.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
Float to Mother-Baby unit to provide newborn care when L&D census is low.

Schedule Details

Night Shift: 12-hour shifts starting at 6:30 PM (1830)
Weekends and holidays required as needed

Required Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
Minimum 2+ years of recent Labor & Delivery experience
Strong clinical and critical thinking skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
Flexibility to float between units as required

Preferred Qualifications

Previous travel nursing experience
Experience in Mother-Baby / Postpartum care
Certifications such as BLS, ACLS, NRP (as applicable)

Unit Information

Unit: Labor and Delivery
Floating: Yes – to Mother-Baby unit based on census
