Description

• Conduct evaluations of patients across diverse settings, be it inpatient or outpatient, and create tailored treatment strategies
• Implement physical therapy interventions that concentrate on improving mobility, strength, balance, and overall function
• Work collaboratively with nurses, physicians, case managers, and other rehabilitation professionals to enhance patient outcomes
• Provide education to patients and families regarding therapy goals, planning for discharge, and exercises for home
• Maintain thorough documentation of evaluations, treatments, and patient progress according to facility policies and regulations
• Engage in interdisciplinary team meetings to ensure cohesive and coordinated care for patients

Education

• Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent from an accredited institution

Certifications

• State licensure as a Physical Therapist
• Certification in CPR preferred
• Additional specialized certifications (such as neurological or geriatric therapy) are advantageous, but not mandatory

Skills

• Prior experience is highly beneficial
• Ability to work with patients possessing complex medical conditions and mobility challenges
• Strong communication skills and aptness for teamwork
• Proficient with electronic documentation and clinical charting
