Food and Beverage Manager

Food and Beverage Manager Responsible for management of the restaurant and all banquet outlets, ensuring compliance with service and operational standards and maximizing profits in the hotel and outlets. This includes the restaurant functions such as menu production, food promotions, portion specifications, high‑quality service, staff supervision and development. The position reports to the General Manager. Responsibilities Review staffing levels to meet guest service, operational needs and financial objectives. Identify developmental needs of the team and coach, mentor, or otherwise help them improve knowledge or skills. Develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish objectives. Ensure compliance with all food & beverage policies, standards, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations, including food handling and sanitation standards. Ensure staff understands local, state, and federal liquor laws. Provide guidance and direction to subordinates, including setting performance standards and monitoring performance. Handle guest problems and complaints while delivering excellent customer service. Meet with guests informally (during meals or upon departure) to obtain feedback on food & beverage quality, service levels, and overall satisfaction. Ensure corrective action is taken to continuously improve service results. Requirements High school diploma or GED; 6 years of experience in food and beverage, culinary, or a related professional area. Or 2‑year degree from an accredited university in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related major; 4 years of experience in food and beverage, culinary, or a related professional area. Ability to encourage and build mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members. Ability to approach difficult situations with a customer‑service focus. Ability to manage/supervise a diverse team and delegate tasks accordingly. Must be able to pass a background check.
