POSITION SUMMARY: The Cook II position is designed for team members who have developed foundational culinary skills and can independently operate assigned stations with minimal supervision. This role requires a stronger understanding of cooking techniques, station management, food quality standards, and team support.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Independently manage assigned cooking stations during service
• Prepare menu items according to recipe specifications and presentation standards
• Demonstrate consistency in execution, timing, and product quality
• Assist with training and mentoring Cook I team members
• Monitor product levels and communicate shortages proactively
• Maintain proper food handling, storage, and sanitation standards
• Complete prep production accurately and efficiently
• Assist with banquet production and special events as needed
• Support kitchen leadership in maintaining operational standards
• Communicate effectively with front-of-house and back-of-house team members

Qualifications

1. Work Experience:
1. Strong understanding of basic cooking techniques and station execution
2. Ability to multitask and manage time effectively during service
3. Understanding of food temperatures, holding procedures, and sanitation standards
4. Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
5. Ability to work independently with limited supervision

3. Professional Licenses & Certifications Requirements:
1. Must successfully pass a knife test
4. Must be 18+ years old and be available for all shifts, including weekends and holidays.
5. Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and pass a drug test and background check for an AZ Gaming License.
6. Must adhere to all Cliff Castle Casino Hotel policies and procedures.
7. Must be committed to providing exceptional guest service through a welcoming, friendly, and professional environment. Aim to exceed guest expectations with attentive, personalized service and prompt responses and resolution.
