Registration Clerk

Registration ClerkGreeley County Family Practice is seeking a detail-oriented and friendly Registration Clerk to join our clinic team. The Registration Clerk is responsible for welcoming patients, collecting and verifying personal and insurance information, and ensuring accurate data entry into the system. This role is essential in creating a positive first impression and maintaining efficient patient flow. This position is the first point of contact for patients and families visiting and/or calling GCFP, setting the tone for their experience and our reputation. It is the vital first step of the revenue cycle by scheduling and registering patients accurately and efficiently to ensure that patient accounts can be coded and billed properly in a timely fashion.Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:Greet, direct patients and visitors in person or on the phone with professionalism and exemplary customer service.Communicate effectively with patients to schedule, confirm, reschedule, or cancel appointments. Utilize available software to optimize patient visits, appointment organization, and efficiency.Maintain accurate and updated schedules by communicating and collaborating with the clinic director and controller to stay up to date on provider availability to ensure accurate scheduling and rescheduling needs when necessary.Implement and adhere to policies and procedures for scheduling and late arrivals.Facilitate patient registration and/or check-in by verifying appointment type, time, and provider. Collect detailed and necessary contact, demographic, and insurance information to input and/or verify in the EMR accurately.Verify insurance eligibility and document in the EMR accurately.Obtain necessary forms and consents at the time of registration prior to appointmentCollect copayments and coinsurance payments at the time of registration prior to appointment.Compensation: $16.00 per hourWe are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
