Receptionist/Office AssistantExpress Employment Professionals is seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Receptionist/Office Assistant to join an optometry office. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is highly organized.Responsibilities:Greet patients and ensure a warm, welcoming experienceDirect patients to the appropriate part of the office with excellent patient careInquire, update, and maintain accurate patient medical information, contact details, work status, and insurance recordsAnswer and manage multiple phone lines, screen and direct calls professionallyObtain insurance authorizations prior to appointments and confirm active coverageCall patients to provide accurate fee quotes and appointment remindersSchedule appointments across multiple providers and services while managing busy schedulesConfirm next-day appointments and follow up on referrals with patientsCommunicate with patients via phone, email, and text messagingEducate and guide patients regarding services, treatments, and processesAssist with occasional repair or adjustment of spectaclesCollaborate with a diverse team to ensure the best patient outcomesUtilize multiple computer systems and technology platforms dailyKey Skills & Qualifications:Excellent verbal and written communicationFriendly, professional, and customer-focused attitudeStrong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task in a busy officeComfortable using multiple computer systems and learning new programsDetail-oriented with the ability to accurately handle patient and insurance informationPrevious office, receptionist, or customer service experience preferred (medical/optical experience a plus)Pay & Benefits:$17.00 per hourEqual OpportunityExpress Employment Professionals is an Equal Opportunity Employer and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any kind.
