Med Surg Nursing Opportunities

Multiple positions available including:

• Full-Time Nights, 6:00 pm to 6:00 am
• PRN - Nights, as needed, 6:00 pm to 6:00 am
• PRN - Nights, 7:00 pm - 7:00 am
• PRN - Nights, 7:00 am - 7:00 pm
• Full-Time Days, 6:00 am - 6:00 pm
• Weekends Only Days, 6:00 am - 6:00 pm
• (3) 12 Hour Shifts, 6:00 am - 6:00 pm
• (3) 12 Hour Shifts, 6:00 pm - 6:00 am
• 6:00 am to 6:00 pm, (3) 12 Hour Shifts Per Week
• Full-Time Nights, 3 12-Hour Shifts, 6:00 pm - 6:00 am

Work Location: UAB St. Vincent's St. Clair

Job Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.

• Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

Qualifications

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing required.

Education:

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing AND professional licensure at time of hire required.
