Job DescriptionExxonMobil Advanced Graphite Solutions4021 Calvin DriveHopkinsville, KY 42240Position Title: Production OperatorBusiness Title: Production OperatorSite: 20Cost Center: 100 ProductionLocation: KY 1Principal Duties and Responsibilities:Follows established procedures and practices to produce quality products for the companys customersOperates the forklift, bagger, and other industrial equipment as requiredBags and palletizes product according to instructions for bag type and weightCollects raw material and product samples as necessaryLoads trucks, railroad cars, and containers with finished product some of which may require handling and hand stackingMaintains and rebuilds furnaces for production runsAssists in installing, removing, and maintaining equipment and buildingsCompletes routine housekeeping tasks (sweeping, mopping, waxing, cleaning of shower room facilities, emptying trash/scrap containers, painting and general clean up of plant site and grounds)May handle raw material or product manually under break down conditionsComplies with company policies and the Code of ConductAdheres to general and job specific safety, environmental, and quality guidelines/proceduresPerforms other duties as assignedEducation/Experience - Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:High School Graduate or GED preferredOne or more years of work experience in an industrial environmentMechanical skills involving the use of basic toolsBasic mathematical and chemistry skillsAbility to communicate effectivelyAbility to read and interpret documents such as work instructions, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures manualAbility to safely work in a non-production line settingAbility to work in multi-level building and at times confined spacesAbility to work independently or in a team settingAbility to work rotating shift schedule as assigned including nights and weekends including flexibility to provide job coverage for co-workers in addition to regular schedulePhysical Qualifications:Vision: Normal RequiredHearing: Normal RequiredReaching/Stretching: Normal RequiredStanding/Walking/Mobility: Normal RequiredClimbing/Stooping/Kneeling: Normal RequiredLifting/Pulling/Pushing: Normal RequiredFingering/Grasping/Feeling: Normal RequiredCapable of lifting and moving 50 lbs on a daily basisCapable of lifting up to 100 lbs on a periodic basisWork Environment:This individual works in a multi-level industrial environment requiring work in high precarious places via ladders and steps inside and outside the plant in all types of weather conditions. This individual is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and some hazardous chemicals. The plant utilizes high levels of electricity and individuals have to be safety minded in all activities.
