Warehouse Associate

Job Overview Warehouse Associate at Index Industries will expertly manage incoming products, fulfill orders, skillfully pack and ship items, and ensure the warehouse grounds operate smoothly and safely, serving a vital role within our dynamic team. Responsibilities Within the first 30 days: Partner with another Warehouse Associate to shadow and learn the order selection process, packaging of customer orders, and identify multiple shipment methods. By the 30-day mark, handle packing for all products and be comfortable with UPS and small shipments. Three months and ongoing: Independently assemble and pack all customer orders, fully understanding the warehouse layout, storage locations, and replenishment after fulfilling orders. Take on increasingly complex orders requiring specific packaging, labeling, etc. Six to twelve months and ongoing: Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, including unloading trucks and processing item receiving per company procedures. Learn about LTL shipments through shadowing another associate. Operate warehouse vehicles and equipment while ensuring proper maintenance, and complete facilities maintenance duties in a fast‑paced environment. Qualifications Valid driver’s license and DMV printout. Willingness to learn and enthusiasm for work. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and mathematical skills. Preferred: one year or more of warehouse or similar experience. Preferred: strong familiarity with modern warehouse practices and methods of operation. Plus: experience with counting scales in a warehouse environment. Compensation & Benefits Hourly pay range $17.00 to $21.50, based on experience and skillset. Working hours Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Health: Medical coverage with 60% company contribution; Vision and dental coverage entirely employee paid.
