We are currently looking for an experienced **Full-Time Registered Veterinary Technician** to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a team-oriented technician with strong clinical skills and **hands-on surgical experience** who can take an active role in our surgical and general practice caseload. **What You'll Do*** Provide high-quality nursing care for hospitalized and surgical patients* Prepare patients for surgery, including catheter placement, bloodwork, surgical prep, and anesthesia setup* Induce, monitor, and recover patients under anesthesia* Monitor surgical patients and communicate changes to the Veterinarian* Assist with surgical procedures and maintain appropriate surgical protocols* Perform dental cleanings and assist with dental procedures* Obtain and process laboratory samples and assist with diagnostic procedures* Administer medications and treatments as directed* Monitor and document patient progress throughout treatment and recovery* Educate clients on medications, post-operative care, and treatment plans* Maintain accurate medical records and ensure treatment areas and equipment are clean and properly maintained* Support the broader veterinary team with appointments, treatments, and patient care as needed **What We're Looking For*** **Current RVT/LVT/CVT credential in good standing*** **Previous Veterinary Technician experience, with strong surgical experience required*** Confident anesthesia monitoring and perioperative patient care skills* Strong understanding of surgical preparation, sterile technique, and patient recovery* Comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with veterinarians and support staff* Excellent communication and client-service skills* Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize in a busy clinical environment* Compassionate, dependable, and committed to high-quality patient care and ensure a clean, organized work environment. **Compensation $19+/hr and is negotiable depending on experience.** **What Makes Us Different** * Referral program – join our team, bring your friends, and get paid!* Career development and advancement opportunities.* CE programs provided by AmeriVet at NO cost to you!**Learn more about us at:** ** At AmeriVet, we’re committed to your growth, development, well-being, and success.
