Labor and Delivery Nurse

Provide specialized nursing care to obstetric patients in a high-volume Labor and Delivery unit. Monitor and assist mothers through labor, delivery, and postpartum stages, ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient status continuously and respond promptly to changes in condition.
• Support and monitor laboring patients, including high-risk cases, utilizing appropriate equipment.
• Assist physicians during labor, delivery, and procedures such as C-sections and inductions.
• Document patient care accurately using the EMR system and adhere to hospital policies.
• Educate patients and families on childbirth and postpartum care.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure quality patient outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Hold a current, valid RN license with a minimum of 1 year of recent acute care hospital L&D experience.
• Maintain BLS, ACLS, NRP, and EFM-C or AWHONN certifications.
• Demonstrate experience with high-risk labor and delivery cases, including C-sections and maternal resuscitation.
• Exhibit compassionate, patient-centered care, and strong communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a team nursing environment and adapt to unit policies.
