Maintenance TechnicianLocation: Buford, GAPay: $30-$35/HourShifts: 2nd: 3p-11:30p, 3rd: 11p-7:30aJob DescriptionThe Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing mechanical and electrical repairs throughout the plant. This includes troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and installing equipment in compliance with all plant policies and procedures.ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot, repair, maintain, and install equipment in compliance with plant policies and procedures.Work with machinery and mechanical equipment including motors, pneumatic & hydraulic components, conveyor systems, and production line equipment.Read diagrams, sketches, operation manuals and manufacturer's specifications for installations.Use hand tools, power tools, precision-measuring devices, and testing instruments.Maintain all company assets at the highest level of availability by executing the PM schedule.Diagnose & troubleshoot root cause on equipment professionally and timely.Collaborate with operators on process improvements and train them on routine preventative maintenance.Support engineering & continuous improvement projects including trials and installation.Maintain good housekeeping in the maintenance department and after completing jobs.Adhere to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures.Perform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repair, including hydraulic components.Execute preventive maintenance tasks and manually track work orders.Conduct basic PLC troubleshooting.Essential SkillsProficiency in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics.Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.Skilled in preventive maintenance.Familiarity with diagnostic tools such as Meger Meter, Multi-Meter, Amp Probe, Infrared Thermometer.Additional Skills & QualificationsKnowledge of welding.Experience with HVAC systems.Basic PLC troubleshooting skills.Capability to work with motors, 3-phase systems, and perform maintenance repairs.Why Work Here?Employees enjoy full benefits upon permanent placement, a 401k with company match, and ample room for growth with opportunities for supervisor promotions.Work EnvironmentThe work environment is an industrial manufacturing setting with 16 press machines, 2 cutting machines, and 2 forming machines. Conditions may become hot with all presses running, but the area is well-lit. Shifts include 1st: 7:00am - 3:30pm, 2nd: 3:00pm - 11:30pm, and 3rd: 11:00pm - 7:30am.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Buford, GA.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
