Are you someone who loves meeting new people, uncovering local happenings, and building relationships? If you are the person who "knows everyone in town" (or wants to!), this is the role for you. As our Community Relations Coordinator, you won’t be chained to a desk. Your main mission is to go out into Ashland and neighboring communities to build connections. You will meet with local businesses, civic clubs, historical societies, hotel event planners, and government offices to let them know how the Henry Clay Inn can serve as their perfect gathering space. Instead of chasing massive weddings, you will focus on boutique, high-vibe community events: club luncheons, book signings, art shows, acoustic music nights, and specialty hobby groups (like our local cyclist clubs and equestrian groups). salary: $20 - $25 per hour

Responsibilities

 Be the Face of the Inn: Spend time out in the community meeting with local business
owners, civic leaders, event planners, and special interest groups.
 Build Local Partnerships: Identify and approach clubs (garden clubs, book clubs,
rotary, etc.) and organizations to pitch the Inn for small group luncheons, meetings, and
social gatherings.
 Brainstorm & Secure Boutique Events: Actively seek out artists, authors, and
musicians to host intimate showcases, book signings, or community workshops at our
facility.
 Educate the Community: Share what makes the Inn special, keeping our specific
capacities in mind (we love intimate gatherings up to 50 people, and cozy luncheons for
10-15 guests).
 Drive Room Awareness: Connect with local hotels and corporate offices to position our
guest rooms (currently 12, expanding to 17!) as the premier choice for their overflow
guests or visiting VIPs.
