Material HandlerThe Material Handler is responsible for moving materials, supplies, and finished goods either manually or using a hand truck to designated locations within the facility or onto trucks. This role supports overall warehouse operations by ensuring products are handled safely, efficiently, and accurately. The Material Handler may also provide general housekeeping support to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.ResponsibilitiesPerforms various material handling duties manually or using a hand truck within the facilityLoads finished product onto pallets or hand trucks as requiredStacks skids or pallets in assigned storage or staging areasLoads and unloads freight in an efficient, safe, and accurate mannerPicks and packs customer orders, assembling various types of merchandise for shipmentApplies labels to shipments according to company and customer requirementsProcesses orders including picking, checking, sorting, consolidating freight, wrapping pallets, packing, loading, and completing shipment confirmationsVerifies freight accuracy and checks for damage or infestationAssists with physical inventories and cycle counts as neededUses RF scanning devices to support accurate inventory managementProvides cleaning and sanitation services as needed, including sweeping floors, cleaning office areas, and disposing of trash in designated containers or locationsMaintains a clean, safe, and organized work area by following housekeeping and safety standardsPerforms other duties and responsibilities as required by the role and determined by managementPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand and walk for extended periods, up to 10–12 hours per shiftAbility to lift, carry, push, and/or pull minimum 10lbs up to 50 lbs without restriction, required by business needsFrequently bending, stooping, squatting, climbing, crouching, stretching, and reaching above the shoulder level & at shoulder levelAbility to work in environments with variable noise levels, lighting conditions, and temperature fluctuationsAble to work irregular or extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, required by business needsQualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED preferredStrong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasksEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with DisabilitiesThe contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
