Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Welder/Fitter to join our team in New Philadelphia, OH. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling metal structures and components, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards. Responsibilities- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements.
- Perform welding and fitting tasks on various materials including steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.
- Set up and operate welding equipment, ensuring proper settings and techniques are used.
- Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy, making adjustments as necessary.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and resolve any issues that arise.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance skills and knowledge in welding techniques.
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a welding program is preferred.
- Proven experience as a welder/fitter, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- Proficient in various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick) and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Valid welding certification is a plus.
