Travel RN - Med/Surg

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Women's Surgical Med/Surg unit position in the Denver metro area, requiring a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience and a CO or compact RN license. Requirements Active CO or compact RN license required Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start) Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in Med/Surg or a related acute care setting At least 1 year of recent acute care hospital Med/Surg experience required GYN/Oncology, urology, and/or post‑op Med/Surg experience preferred Prior Meditech EMR experience preferred US SSN and DOB required for consideration One professional reference required No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months Responsibilities Work in an 18‑bed Women's Surgical unit (5East) within a hospital setting Patient population includes post‑operative gynecological, urological, and oncological cases Nurse‑to‑patient ratio of 6:1 Common procedures include post‑op assessments, post‑prostatectomy and post‑hysterectomy care, continuous bladder irrigation (CBI), pain management including PCAs and epidurals, and Foley catheter maintenance EMR system: Meditech (prior experience preferred) Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (12‑hour shifts) Responsibilities include providing post‑operative nursing care, pain management, and ongoing patient assessments for a women's surgical population Unit is staffed with 1 charge nurse, 5 nurses, and 1–2 techs per night shift Unit is known for strong team culture, collaborative provider relationships, and a notably low staff turnover rate of 6% Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible for this position Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non‑taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts Job ID: P-718399 Open Positions: 1 #J-18808-Ljbffr American Traveler
