Middle Office Specialist

Operations Associate – Middle Office Trade Support New York, NY (Hybrid – 4 Days in Office) Base Salary: $125,000–$175,000 + Bonus (Dependent on Experience) Experience: 4-10yrs A leading multi-strategy hedge fund is seeking an Operations Associate to join its Middle Office Trade Support team in New York. This role offers direct exposure to portfolio managers and investment teams while supporting the daily trade flow of fixed income and listed futures strategies in a fast-paced, high-performance environment. What You\'ll Do Serve as a key point of contact for portfolio managers, responding to trade-related inquiries and operational requests. Support trade capture and lifecycle management across fixed income products and listed futures. Monitor expiries, cashflows, corporate actions, resets, rollovers, and other lifecycle events. Investigate and resolve trade breaks, booking discrepancies, P&L inquiries, and settlement issues. Perform daily cash, position, and trade reconciliations. Partner with Risk, Product Control, Fund Administration, Technology, Settlements, and Operations teams. Coordinate issue resolution with prime brokers, custodians, and counterparties. Drive process improvement initiatives and help enhance operational efficiency across the platform. Maintain accurate books and records while ensuring timely processing of all trade activity. What We\'re Looking For 5+ years of middle office, trade support, or operations experience at a hedge fund, asset manager, or investment firm. Strong knowledge of fixed income products, including rates, credit, and bonds. Experience supporting listed futures and understanding trade lifecycle events. Hands-on experience with daily reconciliations, settlements, and exception management. Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact directly with front-office professionals. Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize in a fast-moving environment. Intermediate to advanced Excel skills. Experience in a multi-PM or multi-strategy hedge fund environment is highly preferred. Familiarity with OMS/PMS platforms and prime broker systems is a plus. Exposure to equities, equity derivatives, options, FX, or OTC products is advantageous. Bachelor\'s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related discipline preferred. Why Apply?
