Job Title

Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Neurology

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days (3x12-Hour Shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) | Onsite | Weekend rotation required (4–5 weekend shifts per 4-week period) | Holiday rotation required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct inpatient nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a General Neurology, Medical Stroke, and Epilepsy Monitoring unit
• Monitor and care for patients with neurological diagnoses including stroke, epilepsy, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, neuromuscular diseases, and seizure disorders
• Support continuous epilepsy monitoring for patients connected to hard-wired monitoring equipment
• Care for overflow neurosurgical and spine surgery patients as needed, floating within scope to meet unit demands
• Participate in emergency response team assignments as required, including during hurricane season (June through November)

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of Registered Nurse experience
• Active South Carolina RN license or Multistate/Compact RN license (SC license must be active prior to start date)
• Current BLS certification
• Ability to float within scope to sister units to meet facility needs
• First-time travel nurses accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Prior experience in a neurology, stroke, or epilepsy monitoring setting
