Employment Litigation Associate Attorney

Location: Orange County, CA
Experience: 3–5 years

Direct Counsel is seeking a mid-level Litigation Associate Attorney with 3–5 years of experience in California state and federal courts to join the litigation practice of a leading Am Law firm in its Orange County office. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney with strong labor and employment and/or business litigation experience who thrives in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

Position Highlights

• 3–5 years of litigation experience in California state and federal courts

• Experience with employment litigation , including single-plaintiff matters and wage-and-hour class and representative actions

• Experience providing employment advice and counsel

• Extensive experience preparing and responding to written discovery

• Experience managing electronic discovery

• Strong motion practice experience

• Experience taking and defending depositions

• Prior trial experience preferred

• Big Law experience preferred

• Judicial clerkship experience is a plus

• Strong academic credentials

• Excellent legal writing and public speaking skills

• Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team

Compensation

$260,000–$365,000 base salary , consistent with the current Cravath-scale market for associates in this seniority range. Actual compensation will depend on class year, qualifications, experience, and other job-related factors. Additional compensation may include a discretionary bonus and comprehensive benefits.
