Parts ManagerThe focus of the Parts Manager is to develop and maintain an environment that promotes a high level of Customer Enthusiasm, Employee Enthusiasm, Financial Performance, and Market Share.Responsibilities: Achieving targeted goals in parts sales and inventory control.Functions: Essential duties and responsibilities include the following - other duties may be assigned.Responsible for interviewing, hiring, and training parts employeesPlan, assign, and direct parts personnelAppraise performanceCoach and mentor employeesAddress complaints and resolve problemsComplete a summary of daily salesManage parts inventoryConfer with service manager for required shop inventoryApprove parts inventory purchases and stay informed of all of the latest innovationsLiaison between the dealership and suppliersSet stock levels and selection of items for weekly ordersInventory control including replenishment, stocking, cycle counting, and physical inventoryFlexibility to work outside normal work hours/weekends, as requiredCommunicate well with management from Sales and Service departmentsResponsible for the profitability of parts departmentResponsible for marketing parts and accessoriesRequirementsQualifications/Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are relevant to the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.Considerable knowledge of:Ideal candidate will have a good working knowledge of RV partsStrong leadership and organizational skillsStrong communication skillsFluent business acumenWorking knowledge of:IDS dealership DMS systemTheCRM Customer Management SystemRVDA & RVTI best practices and Industry standardsSkill Sets:Self-motivational ongoing improvement educationNegotiation with vendors and manufacturers to promote our organizational visionAdapting to the needs of all direct reports and indirect reports needsDeveloping and elevation a Championship TeamAbility To:Work varying shifts, weekends, and holidaysEffectively train and develop departmentFacilitate an enthusiastic cultureEstablish and maintain effective working relationships with all team membersFollow written and verbal instructionsProvide reasonable expectations to all staff and assist in achieving all baseline benchmarksEducation & Individual Requirements:Must be dependableMinimum of 2 years in dealership leadership position(s)High School Diploma or the equivalentProfessional referencesValid Driver's License with a clean, insurable, driving recordSatisfactory results of a pre-employment background screeningPhysical Requirements: While performing duties of this position, the Parts Manager is regularly required to stand, walk, and sit for long periods of time.
