• Annual Patient Volume: 18,000
\n
• Specialties: Lab services and imaging (CT and X-ray)
\n
• Coverage Model: Physicians work 7a-7p and 7p-7a
\n
• Number of Beds: 14 beds
\n
• EMR: Cerner (PowerNote ED) with Dragon capabilities
\n
• $270/hour
\n

Qualifications

\n
• Education: MD/DO with a three-year residency
\n
• Board Certification: ABEM/ABOEM or ABIM/ABFM with emergency medicine experience.
\n
• Experience: Emergency Medicine residency or 1+ years of emergency medicine experience as an MD or DO.
\n
• Badges: ABFM and ABIM physicians would be required to obtain and maintain ATLS, BLS, PALS, ACLS, and NRP (all need to be obtained through American Heart Association).

Facility & Clinical Details

About South Texas Health System ER Ware Road: STHS ER at Ware Road is a free-standing ED. This 24/7 facility offers nine treatment spaces, including six examination rooms, three triage bays, advanced imaging services, an on-site laboratory, and will provide general emergency services on an outpatient basis for trauma and observation care.

The area offers great schools, affordable living, and low crime rates. It is all about an hour west of the coast, and 2.5 hours south of Corpus Christi.
