Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a Rehabilitation Hospital setting, requiring 2+ years of clinical experience and prior travel assignment experience.

Details

• 13-week assignment at a rehabilitation hospital
• 5x8-hour shifts with varied, rotating days including weekends
• Patient population includes pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients across therapy settings
• Services include comprehensive evaluation and treatment of gait and transfer limitations, orthotic/prosthetic training, and wound care
• Direct clinical supervision of staff physical therapy assistants and rehab technicians
• May float between like facilities based on census and business needs
• Uses Epic for charting, with training provided during orientation or option to test out
• On-call requirements to be discussed during interview

Requirements

• Ability to obtain and maintain State of Nevada Physical Therapy license; provisional license acceptable until issued
• BLS/CPR certification per AHA standards required
• Minimum two years of clinical experience in the respective department required
• Minimum of one recent 13-week travel assignment within the past year required
• Must be able to float to meet organizational needs up to competency level

Additional Information

• Provides comprehensive physical therapy services including evaluation, treatment planning, implementation, and discharge care
• May participate in program development and outcome measurement in the clinical setting
• Required to work a minimum of 2 major holidays
• Required to pick up one additional shift during the schedule period
• 13-week break required after completing a prior assignment at this facility
• No blocked scheduling allowed; all assignments are for 13 weeks
• RTO must be submitted with initial application and cannot be added at the end of the contract
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility; no local candidates accepted
• Located at a Level II Trauma Center, the only trauma center between Sacramento and Salt Lake City
