- Conduct assessments and evaluations for patients across pediatric to geriatric demographics through both standardized measures and observation.
- Design individualized treatment plans catering to immediate and ongoing communication and swallowing needs.
- Execute personalized speech therapy interventions targeting language, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing challenges.
- Engage in collaborative efforts alongside fellow therapists, nurses, physicians, and family members to develop integrated care plans.
- Educate patients and their families to encourage treatment follow-up and continuity outside our facilities.
- Occasionally assist with inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless patient care throughout their journey.
- Maintain comprehensive and timely documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Participate in continuing education opportunities to stay abreast of industry advancements and collaborate with peers.
- A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you are not yet ASHA-certified.
- Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Preferred Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first month of employment.
- Mastery of evidence-based practices for treating patients of varied ages and backgrounds, with insight into developmental and acquired speech and swallowing disorders.
- Outstanding communication skills allowing for effective interaction with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Flexibility in adapting therapy methods to accommodate diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
- Strong clinical reasoning and decision-making abilities.
- Proficient with electronic medical records and documentation protocols.
