Position Title Pelican Brewing Company – Host, 1, 2, 3 Summary of the Position Provide excellent and attentive customer service by warmly greeting all guests to the Pelican and assisting in getting them comfortably seated in a timely manner. Maintain a positive and communicative work environment with fellow team members to ensure guests receive a favorable and memorable experience that encourages return visits. Key Accountabilities – Host 1 Provide exemplary guest service and communicate effectively with team members. Greet guests warmly and facilitate seating and accurate wait times. Answer all telephone calls efficiently and courteously. Obtain food handler card and maintain required certifications. Maintain seating chart, wait times, and present merchandise area. Keep work environment clean and presentable. Remain calm and effective in a fast‑paced environment. Assist other service personnel as needed. Follow the Family of Companies and Pelican customer service standard. Provide guests with information on menu items, events and community involvement. Use current seating software and POS for take‑away orders. Pour beer and sell beer togo. Key Accountabilities – Host 2 Perform all Host 1 duties. Seat guests using the current seating software program. Take to‑go orders accurately with POS software. Complete Beer School training. Key Accountabilities – Host 3 Perform all Host 1 and Host 2 duties. Obtain OLCC permit. Pour beer and sell beer togo. Handle cash properly. Preferred Skills and Experience At least one year of restaurant experience. Knowledge of restaurant health and safety rules. Excellent verbal communication skills and ability to remain calm and adapt to changes. Professionalism and conflict‑resolution ability. Cash handling experience. Physical Requirements Able to work on your feet for at least 8 hours. Must be able to lift, handle, and carry food, supplies, small wares, equipment, and paper goods up to 25 pounds, bend, kneel, stoop, reach, and squat frequently to receive and store stock and supplies. Must tolerate loud noises, fumes, odors, dust, and smoke. Work Schedule Weekends, nights, and holidays may be required. Compensation $15.05 – $15.05 hourly wage. #J-18808-Ljbffr Inn at Cape Kiwanda
