About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in ICU License: VA License (pending acceptable) Certifications: BLS, ACLS required Must-Have: Epic experience is required Charge experience preferred Description: Cross posting for float pool position. Floating to various ICU and intermediate care units. Includes Medical ICU, Thoracic Cardiovascular ICU, and Surgical Trauma ICU. Must float between different care areas including Critical Care and Intermediate Care. Every other weekend and holiday required. Will offer 36 or 48 hours weekly. No requests for time off during the first two weeks of assignment. Block scheduling cannot be guaranteed. Must adhere to float policy. Candidates should have experience managing ventilated patients and interpreting dysrhythmias. Procedural sedation administration and monitoring is required. Pulmonary artery line monitoring experience is preferred. Must have experience in a trauma environment. Patient ratios may vary between shifts. Support teams available include physical therapy and rapid response teams. Community hospital experience preferred. Certification copies must be submitted. Background checks will be conducted.
