Air National Guard Program Element ManagerThe primary purpose of this position is to serve as an Air National Guard (ANG) Program Element Manager for the Security Forces Division, initiatives, policies, issues and funding; managing assigned program areas and accomplishing ANG wide security forces management and development of security systems policy, projects, and practices which cross numbered AF and gaining-MAJCOM lines.Program Element Manager for the ANG Security Forces Requirements Program. Responsible for the command management, planning, development, and oversight of a centralized, coordinated ANG/SF resources program. Involves all measures and actions relative to fiscal and budgetary issues for ANG/SF internal operations and to meet the security, security forces, and force protection requirements of the command overall, and the individual security forces units.Provides technical assistance and guidance. Serves as the ANG MAJCOM Security Forces authoritative source for all security program and budget/funding matters to include security technology, systems, and physical security aids. Uses knowledge of security equipment to plan, implement or make recommendations for implementing security system an aids procurement, prioritization, installation, and usage; and overall security methodology and procedures to protect command resources and enhance the command force protection program.Conducts studies and performs special projects. Plans, conducts, or coordinates on security site studies, projects, assessments, surveys, and assistance visits of, and concerning, installation, unit, or deployed security systems and physical or operations security activities.Represents ANG or the Directorate. Attends meetings, conferences, workshops, etc., at the organizational, MAJCOM,USAF, DoD, or other federal agency level as the command security systems technical authority with the purpose of advocating and furthering command security systems objectives or working as a member of a group whose ultimate goal is the identification and resolution of security issues.Provides assistance to the Division Chief, Security Forces and other Branch Chiefs as required. Serves as alternate reference source and action officer for other force protection, operations security, and physical security issues. As directed, remains up-to-date on other directorate security initiatives, projects, and actions. Takes staff actions as necessary, either individually or as a group member to ensure continuity and continuance of staff activities.
