JOB SUMMARY

A & Associates is seeking compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to provide quality patient care for healthcare facilities in the Richmond, Virginia area. Working under the supervision of licensed nursing staff, the CNA assists patients with activities of daily living, monitors patient well-being, and helps maintain a safe, clean, and supportive care environment. The ideal candidate is committed to delivering exceptional patient care while maintaining professionalism, compassion, and respect.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

• This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
• Works under the direction of licensed nursing personnel.
• Assists with orienting new staff as assigned.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist patients with bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, toileting, and mobility.
• Measure and record vital signs and report changes in patient condition.
• Assist with transferring, repositioning, and ambulating patients safely.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized patient care areas.
• Document patient care activities accurately and timely.
• Follow infection control, safety, and HIPAA requirements.
• Communicate professionally with patients, families, and healthcare staff.
• Assist with meal service and hydration as directed.
• Support patient comfort, dignity, and independence.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Current Virginia Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of CNA experience preferred.
• Ability to pass all required pre-employment screenings.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and assist patients safely.
• Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to respond quickly during emergencies.
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation
