Job Description:

The clinical nurse coordinates and performs a variety of nursing care procedures for patients of all ages, requiring professional knowledge and the ability to work independently. The role includes supporting individuals and their families, maintaining accountability for all actions, and consulting with managers in complex situations.

Responsibilities:

• Implements safe, therapeutic care using infection control measures.
• Administers age-specific medications and documents nursing procedures.
• Coordinates patient care activities with physicians and healthcare team members.
• Facilitates patient healing with goal-oriented nursing care.
• Engages in patient education and staff development activities.
• Assures confidentiality of patient information and provides discharge planning.

Requirements:

• Valid, current, full, and unrestricted RN license in the State of Alaska.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification on hire.
• Knowledge of nursing care principles and the ability to implement therapeutic interventions promptly.
• Skilled in operating and monitoring medical equipment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with the healthcare team.
