Reimbursement Specialist
Pride Health is hiring a Home Health Reimbursement Specialist for one of its clients in Florida.
This is an 11-week contract with the possibility of an extension with competitive pay and benefits.
Location – Sarasota, FL - 34238
Length of assignment – 11 weeks (Possibility of an extension)
Pay range - $22 - $25 per hour.
Shift / Schedule – Mon – Fri 8*5.
Job Summary
We are seeking a Reimbursement Specialist with strong experience in medical billing and collections to support home health reimbursement operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing claim follow-up, resolving denials and rejections, and ensuring timely reimbursement from commercial and insurance payers.
Requirements
· Monitor and follow up on insurance claims, denials, and rejections
· Perform collections activities with commercial payers and insurance providers
· Research billing issues and resolve payment discrepancies
· Document account activity accurately and maintain detailed records
· Work with clearinghouses and billing systems to process claims efficiently
· Collaborate with team members while independently managing assigned accounts
Requirements
· High School Diploma or GED required
· Minimum 1 year of medical billing and collections experience
· Commercial payer experience required
· Strong communication, follow-up, and critical thinking skills
· Knowledge of medical terminology and billing applications
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and computer systems
· Ability to type at least 30 WPM
