Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:00 AM – 6:00 PM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Room setting with an average daily census of 105 and approximately 135 visits per day
• Manage patient care across a department with 20 rooms and 26 beds
• Float to the Observation Unit to cover ER hold patients as needed
• Adhere to weekend requirements, working 3 out of every 6 weekends
• Be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's
• May be required to float between sister or affiliate facilities nearby the contracted location

Required Qualifications

• Active, valid California RN license (pending license not accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of Emergency Room nursing experience
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health records system
• Willingness to float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate facilities
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius to qualify at standard rate
• Two professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required prior to start

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience welcomed; first-time travelers are accepted
• Familiarity with high-census, fast-paced emergency department environments
• Experience floating to observation or step-down units
