About the Position

Job Title: Labor and Delivery Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Labor and Delivery License: Current Registered Nurse license required Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Beginner, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP Must-Have: - Previous charge experience - Patient ratio experience: 1:2 - Experience with charting systems preferred Description: Seeking a skilled Labor and Delivery Nurse for a night shift position. The candidate will be responsible for providing care to patients during labor and delivery. Experience in administering medications, monitoring fetal heart rates, and supporting breastfeeding is essential. The position involves assisting with vaginal deliveries, C-sections, and postpartum care. Nurses will work collaboratively with a supportive interdisciplinary team. The environment is fast-paced and requires strong assessment and critical thinking skills. Familiarity with external fetal monitoring and IV management is also important. Candidates must adhere to safety protocols and maintain a high standard of patient care. Additional responsibilities include discharge teaching and newborn assessment initiatives.
