Job Summary:
Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) position in Decatur, Illinois. This role involves providing specialized nursing care in a Level II trauma center Emergency Department. The RN will work scheduled shifts primarily during the night hours, delivering critical patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

• Shift: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 48 hours per week
• Start Date: 07/20/2026
• Experience and Qualifications: Valid Illinois license or Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) required; minimum 0 years of experience; certifications including Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) are required.
• Patient Care: Provide care for adult and pediatric patients with diagnoses such as stroke, trauma, respiratory issues, abdominal pain, and more. Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, IV therapy, medication administration, and management of neuro-trauma, orthopedics, psychiatric conditions, and respiratory cases.
• Operational Details: Float within scope to meet facility needs; no on-call requirement; work weekends as needed; RTO restrictions ideally no more than five days; local candidates accepted.
• Facility Type: Acute care hospital, Level II trauma center with 280 staffed beds; support services include respiratory, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and interpretation services.
• Additional Skills: Experience with Cerner charting system, vent management, tele-interpretations, and prior charge nurse experience preferred.
• Special Procedures/Equipment: Stroke and trauma certification, GE cardiac monitors, Zoll defibrillators, rapid infuser, and EPOC point of care lab instruments.
