Remote Sr. IT Developer with Hadoop & Spark

Salary: $92,000 - 118,000 per year Requirements:

• We require 8 years of professional IT development, programming, and coding experience in a Hadoop environment.
• We need experience working with Agile methodology.
• We require hands-on HBase, Scala, and Spark development experience across all three technologies.
• We require experience using Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS).
• We require development experience with Kafka.
• We require data warehousing experience.
• We need proficiency with Hadoop and Spark.
• We expect experience with unit testing, release processes, coding standards, documentation practices, and change management procedures.
• We require proficiency with version control tools.

• We flag gaps in system and functional requirements and explain the impact to the team.
• We consult with IT developers, business analysts, systems analysts, project managers, and vendors.
• We estimate the time, resources, and effort needed to complete programming projects and validate those estimates with peers or project stakeholders.
• We conduct unit testing and debugging, including defining test conditions from code specifications.
• We support application transition through the product development life cycle and document migration requirements.
• We research vendor products and alternatives and complete gap and comparison analyses.
• We follow standard corporate practices and IT controls to safeguard application and data security.
• We may take on additional duties as needed.
