Shipping & Receiving Associate – Manufacturing
Location: Essex, CT (Moving to Hamden, CT in early 2027)
Pay: $18.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
Job Type: Contract to hire
Opportunity
A growing manufacturing company is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Associate to join its team in Essex, CT. This is a long-term opportunity for someone who is comfortable working in a manufacturing environment and is willing and able to continue working at the company's new Hamden, CT location when the facility relocates in early 2027.
Responsibilities
- Receive incoming materials and verify shipments
- Prepare and process outgoing shipments
- Check paperwork, labels, quantities, and shipping information for accuracyMove and organize materials within the manufacturing facility
- Support inventory and material handling activities
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shipping/receiving area
- Work closely with production and other departments
Qualifications
- Previous shipping and receiving, warehouse, or manufacturing experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Reliable attendance and ability to work independently
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Must be willing to commute to Hamden, CT when the company relocates in early 2027
Schedule & Pay
- Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
- $18.00 per hour
