Corporate Tax Accountant
Pacific Staffing is recruiting a Corporate Tax Accountant for a growing, collaborative financial institution in the Greater Sacramento Region. This role is ideal for a detail-driven tax professional who thrives in a fast-paced, regulatory-heavy environment and enjoys hands-on tax compliance, multi-state filings, and in-house tax research. The Corporate Tax Accountant manages multi-state tax compliance, quarterly tax payments, regulatory filings, and in-house tax research. This role supports quarter-end and year-end preparation, produces tax reports for leadership, and ensures accurate, timely tax returns across multiple states. The ideal candidate is analytical, collaborative, and thrives in a fast-moving environment with strict regulatory deadlines.
Location: 100% On-Site | Greater Sacramento, CA Salary: $80K-$95K /year (DOE) + Bonus
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns; ensure full compliance across multiple states.
- Manage quarterly tax payments, estimates, and regulatory filings.
- Conduct in-house tax research to support compliance, planning, and process improvements.
- Support quarter-end and year-end close activities, including tax provisions and reconciliations.
- Produce tax reports for leadership and regulatory bodies.
- Monitor tax law changes and support continuous improvement of tax processes.
- Collaborate with Accounting and Finance teams in a growing, fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 24+ years of corporate tax or public accounting experience; multi-state experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and regulatory filing requirements.
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with tax/accounting systems.
- Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work 100% on-site and thrive in a collaborative, high-performance team.
