Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to oversee the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment, machinery, and facility infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in general mechanical maintenance, with specialized experience in electrical systems and/or welding and fabrication considered a significant advantage.

Job Description

• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on machinery, conveyor systems, and facility infrastructure.
• Diagnose mechanical issues and perform timely repairs to minimize production and operational downtime.
• Troubleshoot and maintain mechanical systems, including hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely and effectively.
• Manage maintenance work orders through the company's digital maintenance tracking system.
• Accurately document work performed, parts and materials used, labor hours, and equipment conditions.
• Identify recurring equipment issues and recommend corrective actions to improve reliability and performance.
• Support general facility maintenance and repairs as required.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Strictly follow company safety procedures, OSHA requirements, PPE requirements, and lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.
• Troubleshoot electrical components, including motors, relays, switches, circuit breakers, sensors, and control panels.
  
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
  
• Safely isolate and troubleshoot electrical faults.
  
• Assist with minor electrical installations, repairs, and replacement of faulty electrical components in accordance with applicable codes and safety requirements.
  
• Identify potential electrical hazards and communicate required corrective actions.
  
• Perform welding and fabrication repairs using MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding techniques.
  
• Fabricate and repair metal structures, brackets, frames, equipment guards, and other components.
  
• Safely operate shop equipment, including torches, grinders, plasma cutters, drill presses, and related fabrication tools.
  
• Modify, reinforce, or repair existing machinery to improve structural integrity, reliability, and operational safety.
  
• Ensure welding and fabrication work meets applicable safety and quality requirements.
• Shift: Monday thru Friday 2:30pm-11:00pm, occasional work on Saturday required

Skills Required

• 2–5 years of experience in industrial, manufacturing, commercial facility, or similar maintenance environments.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting ability.
• Solid understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to read and follow technical documentation and equipment manuals.
• Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with operations and maintenance teams.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to established procedures.
• Ability to lift and carry materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to climb ladders and access equipment in elevated or confined areas.
• Ability to stand, walk, kneel, crouch, or work in various positions for extended periods.
• Ability to work safely around operating machinery, electrical equipment, and industrial environments.
• Ability to wear required PPE and perform physical maintenance tasks safely.

Preferred Skills

• Valid electrical certification or demonstrated hands-on experience troubleshooting low- to medium-voltage electrical systems.
• Experience working with motors, controls, relays, switches, circuit breakers, and control panels.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• AWS welding certification preferred.
• Strong experience with structural welding and metal fabrication.
• Proficiency with MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding.

Education

• High School Diploma or GED

Pay Rate

• $25 per hour (Compensation is offered based on experience, skills, and market factors)
