Gerber Childrenswear LLC is in Summerville, S.C is currently seeking equipment operators to join our team. Gerber Childrenswear is a leading marketer of infant and toddler apparel and related products. At Gerber Childrenswear, we stand for quality, everyday comfort, and safety. POSITION SUMMARY :

The Equipment Operator safely and efficiently operates Cherry Pickers and Reach Operators.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB :

Obtain copy of load sheets or shipping order and transport pallets to and from designated areas in the facility.
Operate a forklift to load/unload Freight safely and effectively.
Stacking goods in the correct storage area.
Checking to make sure loads are secure.
Stacking empty pallets.
Performing daily equipment checklist
Ensure orders are correct product and count
Ensure each pallet is secure for transit and labelled correctly
Consolidates rows and pallets for staging and shipping.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

PHYSICAL/VISUAL ACTIVITIES OR DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to: stand, walk, lift, carry, reach, push, pull, and be able to lift 50 lbs. or more.

POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS :

Attention to detail.
Good communication
Able to safely operate equipment in unique situations.

Education/Experience: High School Diploma and 1-year experience as an equipment operator.
