Workday Functional Lead

Role :Workday Functional SME / Workday Functional Lead / Project Manager
Location: Dallas, TX (Hybrid)
Duration: 12 Months

We are looking for an experienced Workday Functional Lead / Project Manager with deep expertise in Workday Core HCM and Compensation to lead critical Workday initiatives. This role will serve as a functional SME, partnering with HR, business stakeholders, and technical teams to drive successful implementations, enhancements, and optimization projects.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead Workday Core HCM and Compensation workstreams across implementation and enhancement projects
• Serve as the primary functional SME for Core HCM and Compensation modules
• Conduct requirements gathering workshops and translate business needs into Workday solutions
• Advise stakeholders on Workday best practices and process improvements
• Manage project timelines, risks, dependencies, and deliverables
• Coordinate with HR, Payroll, Benefits, Recruiting, and IT teams
• Lead configuration reviews, testing activities, UAT support, and production deployments
• Drive solution design discussions and project governance activities
• Provide executive-level status reporting and stakeholder communication
• Support change management, training, and user adoption efforts

✅ Required Qualifications:
• 8+ years of Workday experience with strong functional expertise
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Workday Core HCM
• 3+ years of experience in Workday Compensation
• Proven experience leading Workday projects and workstreams
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Experience facilitating requirements workshops and solution design sessions
• Hands-on experience supporting UAT, defect triage, and deployments
• Strong understanding of HR business processes and Workday best practices
