As an Electrical Engineer I, you will be involved in the initial phases of research, design, and development of electrical/electronic systems for aerospace and defense applications. You will assist in the design of integrated electrical/electronic systems, contributing to various stages of the product lifecycle under the guidance of senior engineers.The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, it is a leading prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems. IAS tailors solutions to customer cost, performance, and schedule requirements and designs to consistently exceed expectations – with an unrivaled record of on time and on (or under) budget deliveries.**Responsibilities:*** Assist in the design and development of electrical/electronic systems.* In some applications, support development of circuit card assemblies.* Learn implementation of electrical wiring design practices.* Support the testing and validation of electrical/electronic systems and components.* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design specifications are met.* Document technical designs, test procedures, and results.* Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback.* Perform basic troubleshooting and debugging of electrical/electronic circuits and systems.**Qualifications You Must Have:*** Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.* 0-2+ years of experience in electrical engineering or related field.* Basic understanding of electrical/electronic design and testing principles.* Conceptual knowledge of engineering principles and practices.* Basic understanding of Computer Aided Engineering tools.* Familiarity with working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams.**Qualifications We Prefer:*** Internship or project experience in electrical engineering.* Familiarity with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software for electrical applications.* Exposure to simulations through functional and logical models and system analysis.* Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry.* Knowledge of electrical component selection and manufacturing.* Understanding of circuit modeling, simulation, and analysis.**Essential Functions:*** Ability to work on a computer for extended periods.* Ability to travel as required.* Ability to work in an office or hybrid environment.* Precision in designing, testing and troubleshooting electrical/electronic systems and components.* Ability to analyze complex electrical/electronic systems and evaluate performance data to identify problems and improve designs.* Applying systematic and logical problem-solving techniques to diagnose and resolve electrical/electronic issues.* Clearly convey technical information, design specifications, and project updates to team members, stakeholders, and management.* Ability to understand technical documents, electrical/electronic schematics, and electronic instrument measurements.* Ability to handle small components, tools, and equipment with precision.This posting will be open for application for a minimum of 5 days and may be extended based on business needs.Estimated Starting Salary Range: $71,338.47 - $98,090.40. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications.
