Warehouse WorkerThis role supports warehouse operations by performing a mix of manual and automated tasks related to receiving, sorting, stocking, and shipping products. You help ensure the efficient flow of goods from vendor receipt through storage and final shipment to internal and external customers, following clearly defined procedures and quality guidelines.Responsibilities:Perform receiving activities by unloading products, sorting them on the deck, and placing them on conveyors for further processing.Sort products from gaylords and other containers, ensuring items are accurately organized and routed to the correct locations.Stock products by putting items away in designated storage areas according to standard operating procedures.Support packing, staging, transporting, storage, and shipping tasks to maintain a smooth flow of products through the warehouse.Lift and move items as needed, with typical lifting requirements up to 20 pounds, while maintaining safe work practices.Follow clearly defined Standard Operating Procedures and methods to complete routine assignments accurately and efficiently.Adhere to all quality guidelines and report any deviations or issues to a supervisor for approval before proceeding.Maintain required licenses, training, and certifications in good standing as needed for assigned duties.Work under close supervision, accepting feedback and review of completed work to ensure accuracy and compliance.Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors to coordinate daily tasks and support overall warehouse operations.Essential Skills:Ability to perform warehouse tasks such as sorting, unloading, stocking, packing, and shipping.Capability to lift and move items up to 20 pounds safely and repeatedly.Strong analytical skills to follow instructions, interpret procedures, and complete routine tasks accurately.Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with supervisors and team members.Proficiency in Microsoft Office preferred for basic documentation and communication.Ability to apply basic skills and techniques to complete routine assignments within the assigned area.Willingness to work under close supervision, with all work subject to review for accuracy.Commitment to adhere to all quality guidelines and standard operating procedures.Ability to maintain required licenses, training, and certifications as applicable.Additional Skills & Qualifications:Experience working in a warehouse or distribution environment is beneficial.Comfort working with both manual and automated conveyor systems.Attention to detail when sorting and stocking products to ensure accuracy.Reliability and consistency in following established processes and instructions.Openness to learning and applying scientific or methodical approaches where required.Why Work Here?You join a stable distribution environment that supports essential products, offering consistent daytime hours and a predictable schedule. The role involves working primarily on the floor with sorting, unloading, and stocking tasks, including handling gaylords and using conveyors. The work is labor-intensive and requires regular lifting of items up to 20 pounds. The standard shift runs from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Wednesday and Friday, providing a consistent daytime schedule. You work under close supervision in a process-driven environment with clearly defined standard operating procedures and quality guidelines.Job Type & Location:This is a Contract position based out of Auburn, WA.Pay and Benefits:The pay range for this position is $22.70 - $22.70/hr.
