Travel Nursing Job Details Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,740–$1,840 Location: Lubbock, Texas Assignment Type: Pediatric travel nursing contract Contract Duration: 16 weeks Start Date: November 16, 2026 End Date: March 8, 2027 Healthcare Setting: Level II pediatric trauma Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Weekly Hours: 36 hours Patient Population: Infants, children, and adolescents Typical Ratios: Approximately 1:3–5 Weekend Requirement: Approximately 5 weekend shifts during the assignment Float Requirement: Float within the nurse’s scope of practice and as needed between units Call: May be required based on unit census Pediatric Registered Nurse Job Requirements At least 1 year of registered nursing experience Pediatric nursing experience preferred Current Registered Nurse (RN) license; compact license must be active and available at submission when applicable Current BLS certification Current PALS certification Epic electronic health record (EHR) charting experience required Ability to provide two professional references covering at least one year of experience within the last three years Strong pediatric assessment, communication, organization, and clinical decision-making skills Pediatric Registered Nurse Responsibilities Deliver safe, compassionate, age-appropriate nursing care to pediatric patients and their families Perform comprehensive pediatric assessments, develop individualized care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes Administer medications and treatments while following pediatric medication and patient safety standards Monitor and care for patients requiring pediatric medical-surgical nursing interventions Manage oxygen delivery systems, BiPAP/CPAP, central and implanted lines, and isolation precautions as appropriate Support bottle, breast, and gavage feedings, breastfeeding education, and breast milk handling Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition, including dysrhythmias and hyperbilirubinemia Document patient assessments and nursing care accurately in Epic Collaborate with respiratory therapy, pharmacy, physical therapy, radiology, social services, interpretation services, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team Float to other units within the nurse’s competency and support safe staffing based on patient needs Apply now for this Pediatric Registered Nurse travel contract in Lubbock, Texas, and join a dedicated healthcare team serving children and families.
