Travel Interventional Radiology Technologist - Cardiac Interventional Radiology

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Tech for a Cardiac Catheterization Lab, requiring at least 1 year of Cath Lab Tech experience and ARRT or RCIS certification. Requirements Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab Tech experience required BLS and ACLS certification required ARRT or RCIS certification required License required if applicable EPIC/Encompass and MERGE system experience required Must be comfortable scrubbing and recording in cardiac, vascular, and IR procedures Last 4 digits of SSN and full DOB required for consideration Minimum of 1 professional reference dated within the last year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN Responsibilities Work in a Cardiac Catheterization Lab with 7 prep/recovery bays, 1 Cath Lab, and 1 IR Lab 174-bed hospital that is not a trauma or teaching facility, part of a Chest Pain Network and designated Stroke Center Typically 2-3 Caths performed in the morning, with the Cath Lab used for Procedural/IR overflow cases in the afternoon Patient population includes cardiac, device placement, and vascular needs Cases include pacemaker and defibrillator insertion/manipulation, ports, PICCs, arteriograms, nephrostomy tubes, UAE, and Hickman lines Heavy vascular workload including lower extremity angiograms, occasional upper extremity/fistulagrams, interventional cases, PE, DVT, thrombolytics, venograms, and fistula creation Cath Lab procedures include right and left heart Cath with intervention and pericardiocentesis, performed mostly radial with some femoral access EPIC/Encompass EMR and MERGE system required Uses Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, Philips monitors, Merge Hemo, Siemens X-ray, and occasional balloon pumps Will scrub and record cases but will not be required to circulate, as RN staff will circulate 8-hour day shifts, Monday-Friday, 0800-1630 No weekend rotation, no call requirements, and no floating required 13-week schedule cycle At least one prior 13-week travel assignment required; first-time travelers will not be considered Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for the position Support provided by Cath Lab leadership, Nursing Supervisor, Charge RN, and a team of approximately 20 staff including RNs, RTRs, and RCIS-trained technologists Unit culture is teamwork oriented Orientation includes a 1-day New Employee Orientation, 2 days of departmental orientation, and 30-45 days to complete assigned ARLs Facility closed on major holidays including Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day RTO requests require manager approval Scrubs are provided Free parking available Returning employees must be separated from any AHSE facility for at least 1 year after working a permanent position Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs #J-18808-Ljbffr Newsandtribune
